The Event

''Interested in preserving? Want to load up your pantry with jarred goodies but not sure where to start? I’ll lead you through the A-Z of all things preservation based with delicious and fresh ingredients, all locally sourced, seasonal and organic.'' says Ximena Ransom, patchwork Farmer and Cookery Teacher at Made In Hackney.

The class will include:

  • Tips and tricks of successful jam and chutney (inc. sugar-free)
  • How to sterilize jars for safe use
  • Learn the science behind preserving e.g set points, crinkle tests
  • How to make delicious italian preserves e.g vegetables in oil and pesto
  • Learning how to make homemade ketchup
  • A delicious organic lunch and recipes to take home

Fee: £65 (£52 Concession) includes a delicious organic lunch
