A well nourished student, is a student who can concentrate!

Food plays a vital part in the mental and physical development of our young people. In schools we deliver fun, practical learning experiences in the form of courses and one off workshops in cooking, preserving, baking, food growing and making homemade cosmetics designed to help them physically and mentally thrive.

Our bespoke classes can combine vital healthy eating messages alongside sustainability food issues such as Climate Change, Fairtrade and Food Miles. Key Stage learning outcomes from a range of subjects can be incorporated as requested.

All our facilitators are enhanced DBS checked, Child Protection, First Aid and Food Hygiene trained.

From using herbs and spices to making soups, stews and curries, bread making, dressings and healthy desserts – students finish with a set of skills that enable them to 'cook for life'.

Hackney Take-Away

This fun program takes popular unhealthy take-away dishes (loved by young people!) and teaches you how to make wholesome, home-cooked equivalents. From kebabs, chips, burgers, pizzas, curries and wraps – your students will make versions of them that are wholesome and packed with nutrition.

Healthy Baking

Seed To Plate

This program focuses on seasonal, healthy meals using exclusively British produce. A brilliant way of reconnecting students with the seasons, heritage varieties and how to cook them. Dishes made vary with the seasons but usually include soups, stews, healthy takes on popular classics and healthy desserts.

Harvest To Jar

This program covers the fundamentals of lost art preserving skills. From jams, chutneys, cordials, passata, pestos, ferments, fruit leathers and herb drying – if it can be jarred, we cover it. This course is ideal for students at schools with community orchards/gardens.

Forage To Fork

This course can begin with Eat Your Weeds, an introductory session to culinary garden weeds! It then moves into the kitchen where students develop the skills to make delicious, highly nutritious low-cost meals from plants typically viewed as garden weeds and other foraged, wild ingredients.

International Cuisine

Celebrate London’s multicultural community by learning how to cook a range of international cuisines - from West African to Indian, Turkish to Middle Eastern, Caribbean to Chinese, Thai to Mexican. Committed to improving health and wellbeing and reducing food miles, our teachers show students how to get the same authentic taste from local ingredients and healthier cooking techniques.
